Young people today desire God.
They desire faith. They yearn for something to hope for. Amidst a sea of cold hearts, they want to share their courage and grow deeper in love with Jesus Christ.
The Sacred Heart Youth Crusade shall bring joy to many adults. In it, they shall see seeds sprouting up in abundance amidst the barren ground of the modern world. The same God who led David to defeat Goliath still calls these young people to do great things and conquer what most doubt they can achieve.
This global movement encourages young people to realize their potential, even when others count them out. This is not a lost generation, but a generation that shall go forth to rescue the lost. They shall be lights in their own families, begging for their parents to wake up in the morning and take them to church.
A young person will join a unit and partake in formational, joyful, and edifying activities. They will have pride in their unit as it competes against others in regional and global contests; on the other hand, they will be inspired to learn of the stories of other Youth Crusaders in other parts of the world unfamiliar to them.
They will go on hikes while singing holy songs and praying. They will learn creative, leadership, cooking, farming, and a number of other skills. This movement will integrate with their lifestyle.
Each day can be filled with the Youth Crusade’s devotions as young people commit to a way of life, a Rule, after undergoing the solemn Initiation Ceremony, sure to be a lasting memory of dedication for the rest of their lives. This Youth Crusade will share the Gospel with the world, and it will make the Gospel come to life for them. It shall prepare them for Heaven and in this life, Youth Crusaders shall know, love, and serve God. They shall know the powerful love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
