As a Junior Knight or Lady of the Sacred Heart Youth Crusade, I will always hold Jesus Christ and His burning love in my heart.

This is a love I will desire to share with others.

Wherever there is darkness, I shall be a light. Wherever there is coldness, I shall bring a holy warmth.

As Jesus tells me, His follower, I am the light of the world. I realize that the times I live in can be hard times, times of sadness, and times where it is hard to have hope. Yet, I know that my faith will spread like a fire.

So, may Jesus bless me and give me His help.

Jesus, I trust in you.

These things I desire to do: Worship God, to pray each day, share my love and faith with others, help those who could use my gifts, build up the kingdom of God on earth, forgive and show mercy, obey my parents, guardians, and teachers, be a good friend, be a role-model to all, and always remember that Jesus is with me.

These things I will avoid: Sin, hate, darkness, greed, lying, cheating, stealing, holding anger in my heart, treating others rudely, impatience, bad language, bad jokes, bad music, bad video games, bad television shows and films, and anything else that Jesus doesn’t want me to do.

I am a Junior Knight or Lady. I am a Christian, a follower of Christ! The Sacred Heart of Jesus for the World! The World for the Sacred Heart!

With this Sacred Heart Youth Crusade, I am joining a movement with other young people from around the world. I am part of a great call to share Jesus with a world that needs Him. This is my responsibility. 

I know that I am not alone. Jesus is with me and He will strengthen me for the mission he gave me. When a member of the Youth Crusade prays, their prayer can help me; on the other hand, when I pray or sacrifice for this mission, my actions can help them. We are bound together by a spiritual love.

This Youth Crusade will help me to be who God wants me to be. My contribution to this movement will also bring a great light into the world.

1. Prayer

“Always rejoice. Pray without ceasing. In all things give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you all.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18)

2. Study

“I will meditate on thy commandments: and I will consider thy ways. I will think of thy justifications: I will not forget thy words.” (Psalm 118(119):15–16)

3. Sacrifice

“Then Jesus said to his disciples: If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”  (Matthew 16:24)
